Condition Guide for Vintage Watches
NOS – New Old Stock
The Feeling: As if you've used a time machine.
The Condition: These watches are unworn and come from old stock or collections. They are technically "new," but decades old.
Note on NOS: Since they have been stored for a long time or occasionally transported, minimal "storage marks" may be present. We will show these to you honestly with our photos.
Excellent Condition
The Feel: Hardly distinguishable from a new watch.
The Condition: This watch was only worn on very special occasions. The case has sharp edges, the dial is flawless. You would need a magnifying glass to find the finest micro-swirls.
Very Good Condition
The Feeling: A watch that has been visibly loved and cared for.
The Condition: Here you will find the authentic vintage look. There are fine, superficial scratches or a slight patina that give the watch character. Technically, it is, of course, in top condition.
Good but used condition
The feeling: A loyal friend with rough edges.
The condition: This watch has seen life. More noticeable scratches on the case or crystal, as well as patina, tell of past adventures. This makes it the perfect "daily driver" at a fair price.
